Electrical Recycling & WEEE
Electrical tools, chargers and electrical accessories should be recycled separately from ordinary household waste when they reach the end of their useful life.
Why recycle electrical equipment?
Recycling recovers useful materials and helps prevent hazardous substances from harming people and the environment. Working equipment may be suitable for repair, reuse or donation.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol
The crossed-out wheelie bin on electrical equipment or its packaging means it must not be disposed of with general household rubbish. Use a suitable separate electrical recycling route.
Finding recycling facilities
Check your local council’s household electrical recycling facilities and their acceptance rules. You can also find electrical recycling locations at Recycle Your Electricals. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safely removing batteries where possible. Do not put batteries in household rubbish.
Our take-back arrangements
We are finalising our retailer take-back arrangements. Distributor Take Back Scheme membership and a store collection service are not yet confirmed. Please contact us for current information before sending us any electrical waste or batteries.
